the advent of new satellite-based technologies, applications and
services, the role of regulatory provisions of the region has become
increasingly important. Recently both fixed and mobile satellite
services are being severely disrupted by interference from terrestrial-wireless
services in the ¡°extended¡± C-band frequencies of 3.4 to 3.7 GHz.
