From its establishment in 1994, APSCC has served the satellite and space community in myriad capacities. From its publications to its events, APSCC provides its constituents with the support and tools they need to flourish in their respective fields. To this end, one of APSCC's most important functions is to bring together the various entities in the community for communication and cooperation. APSCC achieves this objective through its membership. We have over 100 members from Asia, Europe, and North America with focus on Asia and the membership is growing larger all the time.

APSCC Membership is open to any government body, public and private organization, association, or corporation that is involved in satellite services, broadcasting, manufacturing, launch services, risk management or associate fields such as data-casting, informatics, multi-media, telecommunications, and other outer space-related activities with interests in the Asia-Pacific region.

APSCC shall consist of Platinum, Gold, Regular, Affiliate, and Individual Members. The following are the qualifications and benefits that apply to each membership category.

The Platinum Member category is open to any entity that is directly or indirectly involved with satellite- or space-related industries with interests in the Asia-Pacific region and shares the Council's aims and objectives. Members shall provide financial support to APSCC through a single contribution of US$250,000 or more, or shall pay an annual fee of US$10,000. Platinum Members enjoy the highest benefits possible from APSCC Membership. Representation is transferable within the company.

Platinum Members shall have the right to three (3) votes at the Plenary Meeting and the Council Meeting regarding important issues and matters related to the Council such as constitutional amendments and APSCC Board elections. Council seats are guaranteed in accordance with constitutional guidelines. They are also invited to all Council activities and Board meetings.

Platinum Members shall have the greatest opportunity to participate in the decision-making processes. They are eligible to be nominated for Office positions, the duties of which include the establishment of guidelines, policies and priorities of APSCC.

Platinum Members shall be entitled to discounts at APSCC-organized events plus complimentary full passes with the highest-priority speaking slot, a complimentary exhibit space at the APSCC Exhibition and free advertising in APSCC publications. Conditions of these benefits shall be determined by the Board of Directors in its sole discretion.

The Gold Member category is open to any entity that is directly or indirectly involved with satellite- or space-related industries with interests in the Asia-Pacific region and shares the Council's aims and objectives. Members shall pay an annual fee of US$5,000 per year. Gold Members enjoy the second-highest level of benefits from APSCC membership. Representation is transferable within the company.

Gold Members shall have the right to two (2) votes at the Plenary Meeting and the Council Meeting regarding important issues and matters related to the Council such as the constitutional amendments and APSCC Board elections. Council seats are guaranteed in accordance with constitutional guidelines. They are also invited to all Council activities.

Gold Members shall have the opportunity to participate in the decision-making processes on preferential basis. They are eligible to be nominated for Office positions, the duties of which include the establishment of guidelines, policies, and priorities of APSCC.

Gold Member shall be entitled to discounts at APSCC-organized events plus a complimentary pass, with a preferential speaking slot and free advertising in APSCC publications. Conditions of these benefits shall be determined by the Board of Directors in its sole discretion.

The Regular Member Category is open to any entity that is directly or indirectly involved with the satellite- or space-related industries with interests in the Asia-Pacific region and shares the Council's aims and objectives. Members shall pay an annual fee of US$3,000 per year. Representation is transferable within the company.

Regular Member shall have the right to one (1) vote at the Plenary Meeting regarding important issues and matters related to the Council. Regular Members are eligible to be selected for council seats in accordance with constitutional guidelines. Regular Members are eligible to participate in the decision-making processes. They are eligible to be nominated for Office positions, the duties of which include the establishment of guidelines, policies, and priorities of APSCC.

Regular Members shall be entitled to discounts at APSCC-organized events with preferential consideration for a speaking slot. Also, they will be entitled to a free subscription and advertising discounts for APSCC publications. Conditions of these benefits shall be determined by the Board of Directors in its sole discretion.

The Affiliate Member category shall be available to international organizations and associations with common goals and objectives related to the satellite and space related industries with interests in the Asia-Pacific region. The Board of Directors approves acceptance of the applicant. Dues will be waived provided a reciprocal agreement is reached between APSCC and the member organization.

Affiliate Members shall have no voting rights with respect to APSCC policy or governance at the Plenary Meeting, the Council meetings or APSCC elections. However, they may attend them and offer suggestions.

Affiliate Members shall be entitled to discounts at APSCC-organized events, a free subscription to APSCC publications, advertising discounts, and a listing on the APSCC website displaying member's logo and a link to the member's official website. Conditions of these benefits shall be determined by the Board of Directors in its sole discretion.

5. Individual Member - USD 300 per year

The Individual Member category shall be restricted to academics, consultants and professionals (not being a firm, corporation or other entity) who are directly or indirectly involved with the satellite or space related industries with interests in the Asia-Pacific region and who share the Council's aims and objectives. Members shall pay an annual fee of US$300.

An individual member shall not represent any entity or his or her own firm. Individual membership is not open to a person from a profit-making entity employing more than 3 employees.

Representation is not transferable and benefits are limited to a single representative. Individual Members are not eligible to be nominated for election to the President or the Board of Directors, the duties of which include the establishment of guidelines, policies, and priorities of APSCC. This membership category offers no voting right in the APSCC Meetings.

Individual membership applicants are required to include curriculum vitae with their application. The Board of Directors shall approve acceptance of the applicant as a Member.
